UNM Commences Building of New School of Architecture

Construction began on the new George Pearl School of Architecture & Planning and Fine Arts and Design Library. The general contractor of the University of New Mexico project is Jaynes Corporation. Phase one of the 28.7 million dollars project will take approximately six months with site preparation, utility hook up and disconnects, moving existing utilities and preparing the foundation. Phase two will last around 16 months and will involve construction of the four-level, 108,000-sq,-ft. building, with an estimated completion date in September 2007.
