AGC Members take a Professional Approach

A characteristic of "professionals" is the fact that they elevate the performance of any group of which they are a part. What helps them to do this are their skills, attitude, and commitment. Working in the commercial building industry today requires a high degree of professionalism. Contractors who construct buildings which serve a variety of purposes in today's world need not only to understand basic building techniques but require knowledge in such areas as risk management, value engineering, material supplier availability, production control, and global competition, to name a few. They must have effective safety and health programs and understand the techniques needed to build in an environmentally sensitive manner.
