Not long ago, there were more coyotes and cactuses than kids on Dynamite Road in Cave Creek, a quick-growing suburban area north of Phoenix. Ariz.. That changed in August when the Cave Creek School District opened its new elementary school just south of Dynamite Road and 57th Street. The new, 10 million dollars elementary school is just the first in a long-range master plan that calls for a new high school and two new middle schools on the 160-acre site. Phoenix-based general contractor D.L. Withers started construction on the elementary school project in July 2004, and soon it will begin work on the district's new middle school, which will come on line in 2006.
