The name "Energy Fuels" will be familiar to anyone who remembers earlier uranium mining on the Arizona Strip. The original Energy Fuels Nuclear, Inc. (EFNI), a privately held corporation based in Denver, was a pioneer in uranium breccia pipe exploration, development, and mining during the 1980s, and ultimately produced 20 million pounds of U308 from mines discovered and opened in this remote area of Northern Arizona. Several of the principals of the earlier company came together again in 2006 to form the new, publicly traded Energy Fuels, Inc. (EFR)
