FRAMING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION

The spiraling economy hit the Las Vegas-based Framing Contractors Association hard in 2009, forcing it to tone down many of its activities and taking atoll on its membership. The financial attrition even cost the FCA several board members. With survival - both as an association and as individual business executives -taking center stage, many of the FCA's lofty intentions for the year had to be placed on the back burner, and belt-tightening became a central item of business. Still FCA made progress in many other areas it set as priorities for 2009. The association was successful in improving the image of its members among general contractors, showing them that FCA members are the most educated, safest and most professional framing contractors available. The message, to a large extent has been delivered and well-received, but FCA will strive to leverage the point in the future.
