ManhattanWest, a new 20-acre, mixed-use complex, is taking shape in southwest Las Vegas. The 350 million dollars project combines 700 condominiums with 200,000-sq-ft of hotel, office and retail space at Russell Road and the Interstate 215 Beltway. Gemstone Development LLC is the Las Vegas-based developer, which is also responsible for the 230 million dollars, 700-unit Manhattan condominium complex at Serene Avenue and South Las Vegas Boulevard that finished in 2007. ManhattanWest, its westside sequel, is being designed by Denver-based OZ Architecture. The complex embodies the cosmopolitan texture of its namesake with varying facade surfaces of stone, brick, stucco and glass. The project has Manhattan-inspired building names, including Tribeca, Gramercy, Astoria, Washington and Beakman.
