As a new year edges closer, bringing with it new adventures, encounters and opportunities, here are a few thoughts triggered by some of the people, places, events and developments I encountered while getting the job done in 2010. Topping the list wasTimber & Biomass Expo Southeast, which took place June 11-12 near Val-dosta, Ga. as an extension of our logging magazine brands. The event was a challenge from concept to conclusion, but when the dust settled, it was a safe, satisfying success for our organization and for most of those who participated.
