Hank Williams' Logging Tie

Ilisten to various radio stations every day as I drive 42 miles from Lake Martin in east central Alabama to my office in Montgomery. I sample a wide range of stuff: country, bluegrass, classical, soft rock and jazz music and sports and talk programs.Not long ago I tuned in to Auburn's WQSI and heard an older gentleman performing a live solo of an old Hank Williams song in the studio. DJ Mark David Sawyer, whom I suspect was a mere pup when Hank Williams was alive, asked the man to sing one more. This is where it became interesting. The man introduced the number as a song that Williams wrote but never commercially recorded, one that Sawyer and untold other fans of Williams may not have ever heard. It was titled The Log Train.
