摘要

Single-molecule F?rster resonance energy transfer (smFRET) allows the distance between two fluorophores to be determined. When these probes are attached to biomolecules such as DNA and proteins, both static and dynamic structural features can be quantified.~([1-10]) However, when measuring smFRET, photons from each single fluorophore can only be collected for a finite period of time, resulting in a fairly small window of time to observe structural changes.~([6]) Longer smFRET traces are desirable because they improve information content in both time and space domains.~([11, 12])
