I am very appreciative of the help received from Ervin Otvos preceding the publication of my article regarding Hurricane Georges' impact to Dauphin Island. I am equally grateful for his careful reading and comment on the published paper. I have greatly benefitted from the published works by Otvos reflective of his many years of studying this portion of the Gulf of Mexico. While we have differences of opinion regarding certain ideas related to Dauphin Island, Alabama, I believe that we are predominately in agreement.
