A glacial erratic is a piece of rocktransported and deposited by a glacierupon a bedrock of different composi-tion. At Norber, both glacial erratics andnon-erratic glacially moved limestoneboulders rest upon and protect thelimestone bedrock surface beneath them,forming platforms called pedestals.
