Effect of cane twisting and certain chemicals on leaf area and yield attributes in anab-e-shahi grape

An investigation was undertaken to study the influence of cane twisting and certain bud breaking chemicals on leaf area and some important yield attributes in five year old Anab-e-Shahi grape vines. The result indicated that the variations due to cane twisting and chemicals in the area of index leaf, number of bunches per cane, yield per cane, mean bunch weight, yield per vine, number of clusters per vine and fifty berry weight were non significant. The increased bud break as a result of cane twisting and chemicals could not increase the yield and its attributes.
