Purestream Technology implemented and proved its cutting- edge water treatment technology in the Marcellus Shale region in September 2010 as part of a contract with WV-based PDC Mountaineer LLC. Purestream installed its Trilogy ZAP (zero airshed potential) system at PDC's operation in Taylor County to evaporate flowback water into a clean vapor on site, while reducing overall waste volume. The company since deployed a second system for SM Energy, with headquarters in Denver, in McKean County, PA.
