A pot experiment conducted with bhendi cv. Parbhani Kranti as a test crop and with the treatments consisting of two sources of P (Mussoriephos and superphosphate), three levels of phosphorus (20, 35 and 50 kg P_2O_5 /ha), two methods of inoculation of biofertilizers (without biofertilizers and with biofertilizers - VAM (soil application) and phosphobacterin (seed treatment and soil application) and two soils (Red - Noncalcareous and black soil-calcareous) revealed that application of 35 kg P_2O_5 /ha as mussooriephos in association with dual inoculation of VAM and phosphobacterin in black soil had beneficial effect not only to enhance the fruit yield and P-use efficiency but also to improve the quality of fruit in bhendi besides saving the cost of15 kg P_2O_5.
