Pering Lead-Zinc (Pb-Zn) Mine North West Province, South Africa: Geology, Minerals and Meteorites

The Pering Pb-Zn deposit is an interesting geological deposit, and contains some collectable sulphide minerals and these are described here. One of the geological formations that is exposed in the area contains very unusual geological structures called spherules and these have been interpreted as originating from a meteorite impact.
