Reading and understanding pesticide labels can be challenging. Some labels are difficult to read, especially when it gets down to the fine print. Even in good light with a pair of reading glasses, it can be difficult to decipher statements like "all risks inherently associated with the use of this product" or "attempt to penetrate dense foliage, but avoid overspraying to the point of excessive runoff." In the United States, the EPA reviews the labeling developed by pesticide manufacturers to make sure that it contains all the information that users need to safely apply the product.
