Reader questions use of word 'ornamental'

I just received my copy of fabricator magazine. I enjoyed looking through it and seeing the beautiful work. I noticed on the bottom of page 74 you invited comments, including gripes. I have only one and that is the use of the word "ornamental." I hate it! It sounds so secondary, like a garnish?
