Telecommunication is rapidly changing from telephone communication to data communication represented by the Internet due to the great progress of semiconductors in the latter half of the 20th century. We have been manufacturing such power supplies supporting the basis for telecommunication according to the progress therein. In the mean time, various technologies have been developed to supply power to modern communication equipment. At the turning point of the year 2000, we, from the manufacturer's standpoint, take this opportunity to reflect, summarize and describe the past technological changes, with which we wish to connect to our future probable technology in the next new century.
