The Florida Nursery, Growers & Landscape Association (FNGLA) announced its selections for the 2008 Florida Plants of the Year. 2008 marks the Florida Plants of the Year's 10th anniversary of showcasing superior plants for Florida's environment.Designed to promote the use of proven Florida plants, the program judges candidates on criteria ranging from ease of maintenance, versatility, consumer appeal, pest and disease resistance, geographic use, ease of propagation, and plant availability. A jury of 20 industry experts chose the standouts from a list of 48 plants.
