The case for detailing Partt 2

Economic and liability issues rising over the years have changed construction documents. This article examines the detailer's role today with these specifications and drawings and how it affects the fabricator. Editor's note: In the March/April 2014 issue of O&MM Fabricator, detailer David Busarello, Bridgeton Drafting Company LLC, Vineland, NJ, began a two-part article on the benefits a fabricator can receive from using the services of a miscellaneous metals detailer. The article examined what a detailer provides, the detailing process, and briefly, some of the industry changes that occurred in the past 100 years that make the services of a detailer all the more important.
