Senecio umbricola (Asteraceae-Senecioneae), a new species from the Cederberg, South Africa

Senecio umbricola Cron & B.Nord. (Asteraceae-Senecioneae) - a new species from the Cederberg in the Western Cape, South Africa is described. Distinguishing features are its rhizomatous habit, lyrate pinnatisect leaves, green above and purple below, and white rays. It grows in shade under rocks and in caves at altitudes between 1200 and 1900 m.
