A member of the polythiophene family, poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT), shows interesting electronic, optical and electrochemical properties, making the polymer suitable as electrode material in different electrochromic applications. It has been characterized using standard electrochemical techniques, optical absorption spectroscopy and bending beam methods. [References: 27]
