Taxonomic Revision of the Neotropical Termite Genus Curvitermes Holmgren (Isoptera: Termitidae: Syntermitinae)

The taxonomy of the South American termite genus Curvitermes Holmgren is revised, including a redescription of the genus and of its two species, C. minor and C. odontognathus, based on all castes. The imago of C. odontognatbus is described for the first time. Gut morphology of both species is described and illustrated. Maps with the updated geographic distribution of both species are provided.
