Contributions to the Knowledge of the Myrmecophilous Pselaphines (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Pselaphinae) From China. VII. Liuyelis gen. n., a Rare Myrmecophilous Trichonychini Associated With Camponotus Ants (Formicidae)

Liuyelis camponotopbila gen. et sp. nov. of the tribe Trichonychini Reitter is described from southeast Tibet. The ant Camponotus Mayr sp. is recorded as its host. The genus is formally placed in the subtribe Trimiina Bowman based on the foveal pattern of the mesothorax. Illustrations of diagnostic features are provided. The systematic position of the genus within the Trichonychini is discussed.
