Crystal structure of a rubidium zinc oxovanadium phosphate HRb_3ZnV_2P_4O_(17) with open structure containing PO_4, HPO_4 and P_2O_7

A new rubidium zinc oxovanadium phosphate Rb_3Zn(VO)_2(PO_4)(HPO_4)(P_2O_7) has been obtained under hydrothermal conditions. It crystallizes in the P2_12_12_1 space group with parameters a = 7.0989(2) A, b = 9.5374(2) A, c = 23.3016(8) A. The structure consists of corner-sharing VO_6 octahedra, PO_4, HPO_4, ZnO_4 tetrahedra and P_2O_7 groups leading to layers parallel to (110) interconnected with chains running along a. The open framework that results shows tunnels along a and b where the rubidium atoms are located.
