The Marches Region held their Summer Meeting on Thursday 2 August at Great Wollascott Farm, Shrewsbury by kind permission of Steve Williams and his family. The meeting entitled Focus on Breeding for Profit was very well attended despite the excellentweather which kept many people away for haymaking and harvesting. Steve, Carolyn and all their family put on a tremendous display with their flock of pedigree Texels. The ring full of age groups of ewe and ram lambs was a superb sight only to be surpassed by their shearling and flock ewes The grand finale was the group of recorded shearling rams which would have done credit to any pedigree sale, but also had the figures to match.
