We visit Danone Clover's plant in Boksburg, Gauteng, to look at the dairy giants more successful lines, hear about the latest brand extensions, view the newest cutting-edge equipment and report on local trendi and developments that are currently impacting the manufacture of dairy products. EACH day, the Danone Clover plant in Boksburg translates in excess of 350kl of milk into the production of its Activia, Danao, Danino, Inkomazi, NutriDay, Ultra Mel, Vitalinea and Yogi Sip products. And it is thisproduction pace that entrenches the joint-venture company as a market leader in Southern Africa, but more than that, it was part of the motivation behind the recent purchase of a R25m new thermoform-fill-seal line from ARCIL, a French subsidiary of Danone and a global leader in form, fill and seal systems. The machine also forms part of the factory's renovation, which is an ongoing process.
