Described is a foaming skin cleansing composition in the form of a gel containing at least 35% by weight of water, at least one foaming surfactant chosen from nonionic or amphoteric surfactants and at least one superabsorbent polymer. The polymer helps to thicken the composition without affecting its cosmetic properties.
