Body Condition Scoring (BCS) is a simple technique and effective tool for assessing adequacy of nutrition through all the stages of the reproductive cycle. It can contribute significantly to good husbandry, welfare and performance. Checking conditionat specific times throughout the year allows changes to be made if necessary, such as rations or stocking rate at grass. Also if condition is managed correctly, it should lead to fewer health problems and less lambing difficulties.
