Lowland Sheep Production

In September, 50 farmers gathered on a farm in Leicestershire for the first of a new type of Sheep BRP event, which set out to find ways to make lowland sheep production more profitable. Gareth and Gwilym Owen already run a successful sheep enterprise on their 122 ha farm at Launde in the heart of Leicestershire. They process most of their lambs through an on-farm cutting plant, and provide a year-round supply of lean, medium-sized carcases to local customers.
