US EPA and California DTSC sign alliance

On the 12~(th) January 2012, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) signed an agreement with the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) outlining principles by which DTSC and the EPA will cooperate to reduce toxic chemicals in consumer products. The agreement also sets up a partnership between the two agencies and establishes a framework to collaborate on green chemistry issues to assist in the development of California's green chemistry initiative (see SHE9628, SHE8558, SHE8343 and SHE8340).
