The Wool Board aims to sell the year's clip within the season. Sadly, this seems increasingly unlikely this year. Following a run of disappointing clearances through autumn and early winter, just over 50% of the clip had been sold by the end of January, compared with more than 60% last year. Unless demand improves drastically, a sizeable carry-over is likely by the end of the selling period in June.
