A Last Look into Europe

We have just experienced a drought in Europe and now that it is raining people presume that all is well - but this is far from the truth. Water problems are probably of more significance than oil shortages. None of us can survive without water. The latest report by the International Water Management Institute concludes that one third of the world's population is short of water - a situation that has materialised 20 years sooner than predicted 5 years ago. The reason for the discrepancy is that earlier predictions were based on a country-by-country analysis where now it is based on analysis of natural water basins.
