Bay Area AQMD - wood products coatings and formaldehyde emissions estimates

In August 2009, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (AQMD) amended Regulation 8, Rule 32 to reduce volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from wood products coatings by incorporating lower VOC limits. The amendments also limited the VOC content of cleanup solvents to 25 g/1 unless certain operational standards are met. Changes for the labelling of wood coatings and for compliance in product material safety data sheets (MSDS) were also introduced.
