SUSTAINABILITY IS A POLITICAL ISSUE

I feel our cosmetics industry has made giant steps forward in all its technical aspects. But even though we now have better raw materials, excellent formulation capabilities, better final products, an impressive safety record, excellent manufacturing processes and fantastic quality control, we are still under attack and pressure from some organisations. These bitterly criticise our raw material choices, and this has a negative influence on public perceptions, Where did we go wrong? On the one hand our most distinguished chemists have spent their whole lives researching and developing better products in a quest for perfection and on the other consumers are still doubting their cosmetics have vastly improved in the last quarter of a century.
