Turmeric (Curcuma longa) has long been used in skin care regimes in India and boasts a variety of medicinal properties including antiseptic ones. Evonik now offers purified and standardised turmeric oil extract under the name Tego Turmerone, which is said to be suitable for a wide range of cosmetic applications such as anti-ageing formulations, sun care and baby care.
