摘要

The patent describes a delivery system for fragrance using expanded amorphous perlite, which is a type of volcanic rock. The amorphous particles are obtained by thermal expansion of the rock followed by milling to obtain particles with a maximum diameter of 50 microns and a loose bulk density of about 300 cubic metres per kilo. Perlites comprise approximately 70%-75% by weight of silica (Si02) and 12%-15% of aluminium oxide (A1203) with other minerals making up the total composition.
