摘要

Local microstructure improvement in high-pressure die-castings (hpdc) by influencing thermal and mechanical process parameters were examined. Within the examination of the cooling of hpdc-tools the process related properties of the tungsten-based composite Densimet 185 (D185) were tested. The scope of investigations involved trials in test facilities and the modelling of the thermo-mechanical behaviour of the die material within the thermal-die-cycle. The results of the investigations in the test facilitiy and the results of numerical simulation are presented. The material D185 is compared with iron-based die materials.
