Claimed is a method of enhancing the rate of skin exfoliation by incorporating a water soluble vitamin E derivative into a cosmetic composition.In normal skin it takes about 14 days for the basal cells to move from the basal layer to the end of the granular layer and to become comeocytes and another 14 days for the comeocytes to reach the outermost layer of the stratum comeum.
