Addressing Asia's skin care needs

Damaging environmental factors have a greater impact on skin health than the passage of time. Contemporary skin care should not only he designed to protect against UVA, UVB and infrared-A rays but also against the chemical toxins carried by particulate matter (PM_(2.5) and _(10)). Protection against urban pollution in Asia and other parts of the world is increasingly shown to be significant in maintaining a healthy-looking skin. The conference will discuss the mechanisms that create skin damage and premature skin ageing, present technologies to prevent and treat this damage and methods of testing the benefits and efficacies of the active ingredients and products. There will be 19 invited speakers from Asia and worldwide locations who are renowned experts in their subjects. The conference will be opened by Suiniaty Basirun, President of Society of Cosmetic Scientists Singapore.
