NATURAL SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION

The patent describes a composition that includes a UV-blocking component comprising natural extracts, natural oils or nutrients, or a combination of these. The composition is capable of protecting skin from the harmful effects of UV light and it is capable of acting as an enhancer of sunscreen actives, such as zinc oxide, titanium dioxide or other sunscreen actives. A number of extracts are named and they may in total comprise up to 36% by weight of the final composition. In addition, the composition may include a combination of natural oils comprising cinnamon bark oil, cocoa oil, coffee oil, cognac oil, ravensara oil, tansy blue oil, vanilla oil and yarrow oil, and up to 25% by weight of UV absorbers approved for sun care applications in the US. The patent also lists a number of ingredients that it refers to as nutrients.
