Malvern Instruments has developed a new near infrared chemical imaging(NIR-CI)system that is said to provide rapid data and sample acquisition at unprecedented speed and with increased sensitivity.The SyNIRgi unit can accommodate a large imaging area and offers several new sampling options.The unit has the ability to acquire >300,000 NIR spectra in a single measurement,as well as generating 81,920 NIR spectra from a 13x10mm sample area within minutes,according to the company.
