Gillette may have suffered a defeat at the European Court of Justice(ECJ)over its bid to prevent rival manufacturers from marketing razor handles with claims they can be fitted with its blades.Judges ruled that when a third party uses a trademark it does not own "to indicate the intended purpose of its product" it is not necessarily using that mark to make claims about its product's quality.
