If we formulate a product for Europe it is different to what we can formulate for the US market, unfortunately - and it seems that this will not change in the future.The European Cosmetic Regulation gives us a greater choice of sun protection ingredients.To achieve SPF15 or 20, it is not so much harder to formulate for the US than Europe. Once you go higher than SPF30, however, it is possible (though not easy) in Europe, but in the US it is very limited and we have to use the maximum level of UV filters in order to have a chance of reaching SPF50. At this point all sunscreens look alike.
