This year, the MakeUPigments zone included displays from seven ingredients suppliers: Sollice-Biotech, Oleos, Sensient, BASF, Univar, Merck and Codif. BASF explored trending and upcoming colour palettes, most notably 'Ancient Wisdom', to demonstrate the versatility of its Chione Celestial Gold, a gold synthetic mica that helps create a pure, white shade of gold and a shimmering glow. Ancient Wisdom is based on the ancient world's ideals of beauty, drawing inspiration from Cleopatra as well as aesthetics from the Renaissance and Romantic eras, according to Valerie Pian-Parison, Marketing Manager of Personal Care Europe at BASF France.
