NEARLY 30% OF WOMEN ACTIVELY AVOID SULPHATES

It has never been a more important time for beauty manufacturers to consider the ingredients that go into their products — and those that are listed on their labels. According to a new survey by natural beauty brand Kari Gran, called the Green Beauty Barometer, nearly 60% of US women read beauty product labels to check for harmful ingredients. Of all the ingredients they could be put off by, sulphates emerged as the greatest deterrent. Nearly three in ten women (29%) said they looked to avoid sulphates, followed by parabens (22%), synthetic fragrance (18%), PEG compounds (15%) and mineral oil (11%).
