UK start-up Adam & Eve Skincare has recently launched a skin care range that includes a nutraceutical. Founder Antoinette Crawford, who is also a reflexologist and aromatherapist, says she hated that young adults were being sold strong topicals all the time. "When you start stripping the skin, it fights back," she says. "The skin is the biggest organ, and it can't only be affected by topicals." Consequently, when the company launched, its range included a nutraceutical from the start, which contains aloe vera and B5 for the skin, and to calm inflammation in the stomach, which affects the skin, believes Crawford.
