The sophisticated grooming habits of young men in Japan are influencing men of all ages, as Julian Ryall reports from Tokyo Sales in Japan's male personal care sector amounted to Japanese yen ¥ 106.1 bn (US$877.2m) in 2013 and rose to ¥109.4bn ($904.5m) in 2014. That figure is expected to climb to ¥111.4bn ($921 m) for the present year, according to the Fuji-Keizai Group research agency. Younger men have been at the forefront of the surge in sales of skin care products.
