Brussels hails successful study on skin elasticity

The European Commission has welcomed the results of a European Union (EU) funded research project, which has uncovered skin ageing processes that could be used in formulating cosmetics. A Brussels note on the ?3.6m Elast-age project said it has identified elements of skin cells that degrade during ageing and also defective genes that trigger this process.
