Kudremukh Iron Ore Co. Ltd. Apoints New Director-Fnance and Senior Managers of Pellet Plant and Technical Services

A. Krishnamurthy, chairman and managing director of Kudremukh Iron Ore Co. Ltd., Bangalore, India, has announced three changes in the company's senior management, effective in Dec. 1994. KIOCL, an Indian government enterprise, owns and operates a major iron ore mine, concentrator, slurry pipeline, pellet plant and port in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Anantha Ramaiah, director-finance of KIOCL, has retired after a long and distinguished career in the Indian public service. He has accepted a new position with the ESSAR steel group and continues to reside in his native city of Bangalore. To succeed Mr. Ramaiah, K. S. Narayanan has rejoined KIOCL at the Bangalore corporate headquarters as director-finance, effective on Dec. 1. He holds a first class degree of BSc in sciences and is a member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India. Upon his graduation Mr. Narayanan joined Hindustan Steel Ltd., predecessor of the Steel Authority of India-SAIL as a management trainee. On completion of his training he occupied various financial positions at the Rourkela steel plant and SAIL's central marketing organization.
